"More Than One Score at Scor-Pal" Challenge - Back to School

A new month means a new challenge at More Than One Score at Scor-Pal and this time we are looking for your "Back to School" themed projects.
You make an "Anything But a Card", a card with a fancy fold, anything as long as it has more than a single score and that you let us know where you used your Scor-Pal in the project.

I based mine on project for a Book inspired desk organizer that I had pinned months ago and while I changed the way it was made the concept is pretty much the same. Now what teacher wouldn't love this on their desks to help with the clutter?

Challenges:
That Craft Place - Mixed Media
we Love 2 Create - Mixed Media
Simply Papercrafts - Anything Goes (3 entries only)
PDE Linky Party - Anything Goes
Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes (3 entries only)
Crafting With Friends - Anything Goes (3 entries only)
Hiding in my Craftroom - Anything Goes
Amusing Challenges - Anything Goes
613 Avenue Create - Anything Goes

Project Recipe:
Scoring Tool - Scor-Pal
Adhesive - Scor-Tape
Stickers - Deluxe Designs
Paper - Basic Grey Recess
Chalk Ink - Prima

,br/>

Now I used Scor-Tape on this project and I can't think of using anything else as these are some stiff curves that need a very strong adhesive to keep them together so don't think of skimping and using another type of tape as you will be disappointed.
I hope you enjoyed this and that you will create your own Back to School project for the More Than One Score at Scor-Pal challenge and Good Luck!

My creation came from an idea I had before Summer started. I created a 100 things "Summer Bucket List" for our family so that we were never short of things to do and I wanted a fun way to display the things we had done. So I made a Summer Memories jar and added a note when we had done something from the list!
I hope you like it as much as I do

"More Than One Score at Scor-Pal" Challenge - Birthday Celebrations

A new month means a new challenge at More Than One Score at Scor-Pal and this time we are looking for your "Birthday Celebrations" themed projects.
We have 3 birthdays in our house in August so that's why I picked it as the theme for this month while I'm hosting.

You make an "Anything But a Card", a card with a fancy fold, anything as long as it has more than a single score and that you let us know where you used your Scor-Pal in the project.

For my project I decided to make a simple gift box. But it's simplicity lends it to great decoration and also teaches you how easy it is to make boxes of differing sizes when only faced with 12" by 12" paper/
My box is 4 1/2" high, 6" wide and 3" deep.

Project Recipe:
Paper - K and Co
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Brass Sentiment - Recollections
Pearl Brads - The Eyelet Outlet
Ribbon - Really Reasonable Ribbon
Lace - Mon Ami Gabbi
Chalk Ink - Prima Chalk Edger in Brick Wall
Scoring Board - Scor-Pal
Adhesive - Scor-Tape

Start with a piece of cardstock 6" by 12" and score at 4 1/2" and 7 1/2" along the 12" side.

For the sides you need 2 pieces of cardstock measuring 5" by 5". Score at 1" and 4" on one side, make a quarter turn and score at 1/2"

Burnish and snip at the intersections as shown in the photo, this makes making a corners easier and much crisper.

Add Scor-Tape as shown in the photo

Add the sides to the matching lent of the larger piece of cardstock as shown

Create the sides as shown using your Scor-Tool to create the crisp corners by pushing it gently into the formed corners.

Attach the other sides of form the box

Decorate with patterned cardstock, chalk edges before adhering if using chalk ink

Cut strips to create the rosettes. I did 1 at 12" by 1 1/2" and 2 at 12" by 1". Use a border punch is you like to create a decorative edge, punch after initially cutting the strip before folding.

Score at 1/4" intervals all along the 12" strip and accordion fold to create the rosettes. Use a hot glue to create for strength.

Decorate the box as desired

There you go, a simple yet elegant little box to add a very special gift for a very special birthday!
I hope I have inspired you to get scoring, please drop by More Than One Score at Scor-Pal to see all the other wonderful creations from the team and to enter your creation, we'd love to see it!

Happy Scoring!
Katie
